On my last day of spring break, I went to this UW dairy cow center. I had milk since young, but seeing real cows this is the first time.
 [do you like my earring?]
First impression: they are so freaking BIG! I was told that the average weight was 1,500 Lbs!!!! Each of them can produce 100 Lbs milk per day. Ya, they eat a lot as well, about 120 Lbs. Those guys (gals?) sleep 8 hrs, eat 8 hrs and then produce milk 8 hrs.
One odd thing is, for experimental purpose researchers put windows on their belly. Thus, they can add / remove stuff from the cow directly!!!!
Try some FRESH milk? In Wisconsin the ratio of human and cow is 5:1
