| Only Happens Once a Year [2005-11-23] |
Finally I finished the 4-page single space intercultural paper. What抯 next? Guess my Thanks giving holyday starts. What to do? I have no idea. I just know people call it Thanks giving holiday; I don抰 need to go to school for 4 days; and I am supposed to have fun, or simply have a break.
Starbucks changed its paper cup and holder to this 搊nly once a year?version, since early this month. I feel the coffee tastes the same but it keeps on reminding me, yo,, once a year,, do something new!!!~~~~
So what抯 new? I have no idea again. Guess I am getting older. Or the snowing season slows my brain down. Let抯 say this assumption is true, then I am officially in the s條梠---w model now. Yes, slow down, take it easy man~~~~~ go to bed man~~~~~ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

| | I received my Sennheiser from Amazon today ^^ [2005-11-6] |
This German brand is famous for its high quality audio devices since early last century; its high cost is pretty famous too :p Before plugging it in, I can tell its super fine design and manufacture (Made in Germany). A picture is worth a thousand words, here it is:
 
Before I received it, I was a little bit worried about the fit on the ear. Holding it in my hand, I am not worried about that anymore. The leather ear pads are very soft and comfortable. Even the plastic headband is nice made.
When I put it on I can hardly hear anything else from outside. For example, I definitely cannot hear anything when I am typing on my keyboard. They gently cup the outer, upper lobe and rest comfortably on the rest of the ear. They have been worn for extended periods of time listening to music, which is a great point to me ^^ Now I can even my throw my old ear-gloves (not sure what do you call them) away before Madison抯 winter is officially here.

| | Treo reset / Game / Printer / Past week [2005-10-23] |
I finally figured why my Treo always resets itself. After using harsh code #*37, 揔eyguardTime?showed up. KeyguardTime is definitely a nice software which gives me time/date without turning on my phone. However, it seems conflict with Treo.[symptom: the Treo will reset if the incoming number is not on the address book]
And I find this game!!!!! Can anybody tell what game it is????? (see next page)

Ok ok, to prevent from another 揵lank month? I will try to blow something here even if I am just 揵lowing?LOL
Early this week I heard Bill Gates was coming.
 
Then I heard,揃ill Gates surprises students as "stand in" professor (Oct 12, 2005)? Basically this college drop-out walked in an intro. to computer class and started to talking about how lucky those kids were, in such a IT age. Blah blah~~~ (did he give out some free softwares in class?)
After fighting for another crazy week, I have to sit in the lib again to prepare my coming FM exam. I cannot believe that I have only three weeks left!!!! In the name of my BRIGHT future, my $$$$$, my big house fancy car, and my $150 application fee, I will work hard on it!

| OMG, I cannot believe I haven抰 been here for a month!!!! Time flies so FAST; I didn抰 realize that until I see that I have three midterms this week  (The 揂ctuarial Math?drives me nuts : \ ) I thought the semester just started last week. | | Windsurfing is awesome [2005-8-30] |
A week before new semester starts, besides working I spend most of my time on sailing activities ^^ Recently, I got my rating on Windsurfing and Laser.
Windsurfing is awesome! This is my MSN sub-sn these days, because it IS awesome ^^ First, it is much harder than it looks; and second, it is much more fun than it looks as well~~~ I started with the beginner抯 board called 搈otion? It is a HUGE board, thus I will not fell into water TOO often. Still, on the first day I feel I spend more time in water paddling than actually standing board. However, on the second day I am much better. Short conclusion? Sure, first you have to get familiar with the board and how to keep balance ( this is tough, to me). Then you swing the sail forward to move down-wind and swing it backward to move up-wind. Similar to sail other boats, the more 搊pen?your sail to the wind, the more power you will get from the wind. Sounds easy hum~~~?!
After spending around ten hours practicing, finally I experience the 揻un?part. Comparing to sail boats, I can feel more handling on the board; the feeling speed is the best part over all, when water can easily washes over your feet and wind howls right next to your face.~~~
Laser is a short light sail race boat. I choose it because it is supposed to be on of the fastest boats. It is designed for one person, thus it is really small and shallow. I was told that it is also easy to capsize since there is more weight above water than any other boats. Sail that boat is not that hard because it is so sensitive and easy to control. Feeling of speed and controlling should be the best part of this 揕aser? The worst part about this boat is: you have to put every single part together before you can head out =.= I don抰 know why, to save space? But this seriously takes a looooooooong time ~~~~

| Before I head home, we went to Carmel beach yesterday.
To our surprise, it is a cloudy day. Then we don鈥檛 need to worry about getting sun burned^ ^ However, I soon realize that instead of sun burned, we seem don鈥檛 have enough cloths on =.= 鈥渟hould we go back and put on more cloths??I am thinking while we stop in San Jose to fill some gas.
When we actually get to the beach, it is not that cold. At least sands are so worm. White and fine, sands here are much better than what in Santa Monica, where I went last weekend. There are not many people yesterday, because it is not a sunny day? Really want to jump into the wave, but you know, the water in the ocean is FREEZING!!! I just step in for a couple of seconds to get a feeling of it~~~ then quit ^^ However, there are still a couple of kids playing in the water. Parents are sitting there with their dogs; seem don鈥檛 put any attention at all. American parents really believe differently from us.

Have been to LA for many time, last four days I finally could 鈥渧isit?LA with my dear friends :p

We go to the Universal studio, Hollywood first.
Besides looking around Beverly Hill and Hollywood, there are also many interactive shows/games in the universal studio. What do I recommend? I will recommend most of them actually ^^ You got to go to the 鈥渕ummy train?and ?the Jurassic Park?if you are a big fan of high speed and noise^^
Do not misunderstand the 鈥渂ack to the future?and 鈥淪hark?are for kids, believe me, you will like it too:p the 4-D show of Shark was GREAT. You know what the extra 鈥淒?is? Hahaha~~~~ secret~~~~ but I like it.

| | Three Weeks in Berkeley [2005-7-22] |
Just realize that I have been stuck here for 3 weeks already. Everything goes just fine. Weather in California is always so nice, not like in Wisconsin ---- 100 in summer and 10 in winter. Too bad my roommates are suffering in Madison
UCB has a kinda small campus. Within ten minutes you can get to any building on foot. Most of buildings on campus are really old; the HAAS business school has the ONLY new building. I like its classroom pretty much. All desks and chairs are made from wood, and arranged in circle ---- like those traditional law-school classroom you can see in movie. However, one of my professors does suck =.= in the up front of his course syllabus, it says,
揑n five minutes I can tell you what to do in the market to make money over the long haul. READY?

As a part of my summer plan, I am about to leave for UC Berkeley to take some classes. I am actually kinda missing California after I have been away from it for almost a year. At least, it is not that HOT as here in Madison. Also, I can have delicious Asian food there
However, I also have to give up many things. First of all, my lovely desk!!!!!
Then, the sailing club. I finally get my wind surfing light rating and badger sloop rating. I really need more time to enjoy them!!!!!! Hopefully I don抰 forget how to sail when I come back in the middle of August.
